We made it through the first nine weeks! I had to adjust a few areas in our life with the kids at home when I am working remotely. Here are my top 3 tips for those whose coworkers are their children who work in different departments. ![]() 1. Make sure you have a system of accountability at home. We have a whiteboard that is only for posting what daily homework is due with the dates. This way, we all take part in daily mini-goals. What is one system you have in place? 2. Make sure you keep a schedule. Kids use to a routine get up, catch a bus, get to the homeroom, got to the next class, etc. etc. What are 3 daily routines you have set at home? What do you want to add? Not going to lie I kinds dig being the lunch lady everyday at noon. 3. Make sure you communicate. I have a set Mom faces or hand gesture used to make sure if I get an unexpected meeting that the kids know to don't interrupt. We also have a set area in the home for focus work for no interruptions. Putting up a sign that gives a readable notice that you're busy. Mainly, I let me know that I have meetings, so they now hold in that most critical question that is burning in their minds until a specific time. How are you communicating interrupted time?
